Two Teenagers Facing Charges For Traverse Fire
LEHI, Utah – Lehi City spokesperson Melanie Hansen said two teenagers have been charged in connection with the Traverse Fire.
The juveniles, who are not from Lehi, have been charged with reckless burning, possession of illegal fireworks and setting fireworks in a restricted area, according to Hansen.
Hansen said the estimated cost of fighting the fire, which forced at least 30 Traverse Mountain homes to evacuate on June 28, was $415,000.

City officials were asking everyone to be responsible and follow safety guidelines and restrictions. With Pioneer Day coming up this week, residents began setting up their own firework signs to remind people of restrictions in the area.
