ALPINE, Utah — Two people sustained critical injuries after troopers said a vehicle crashed into a tree on the Alpine Loop.
The incident happened at milepost 13 on State Route 92 Saturday morning.
Trooper Nikki Vargas with the Utah Highway Patrol said two people were ejected from the vehicle and are in critical condition, while the third occupant received only minor injuries.
One person was flown in a medical helicopter to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, according to Vargas, and two others were transported by ambulance to two different area hospitals.
For approximately three hours Saturday morning, SR-92 was closed at Tibble Fork Junction so crews could investigate and clear the scene.
Vargas said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Additional information, including the ages and genders of the victims, was not immediately available.
