UPDATE: A 13-year-old girl from West Jordan, Utah, who was reported missing on Tuesday, has been found and returned to her family unharmed, according to police.

Officials with the West Jordan Police Department thanked community members Thursday for their assistance in locating Isabella Kidman.

They also discussed the dangers of children communicating with unknown persons online.

“We encourage parents to continue the discussion with their children about the dangers of communicating with unknown persons online. Parents should continue to learn more about the dangers facing children by visiting child protection sites such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children,” said WJPD Officer Samuel Winkler. “Information found on sites like this one are invaluable to ensure our children remain safe.”

Additional details were not immediately available due to the ongoing criminal investigation.

WEST JORDAN, Utah — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old girl from West Jordan, who they say has been missing since Saturday.

The girl was identified Tuesday as Isabella Kidman. She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 190 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Officials with the West Jordan Police Department say she was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white lettering on the front and Rick from “Rick and Morty” on the back, white sweatpants and checkered Van’s shoes.

“Isabella contacted an unknown male adult through social media and met with this male near 7600 South Redwood Road on Saturday, May 21, 2022, leaving with him at approximately 10:30 PM,” stated a release from WJPD.

Police say she has not been seen or heard from since.

The identity of the male is unknown at this time, however, police say surveillance videos from a nearby middle school indicate the man is possibly Hispanic with dark hair.

According to the release, the man was seen leaving with the 13-year-old in a light blue-colored crossover SUV.

“Although Isabella willingly left the male subject, it causes us great concern for Isabella’s safety that an unknown adult met with a juvenile late at night and took her away from her family. Isabella’s parents desperately want Isabella to come home,” said WJPD Officer Samuel Winkler.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Isabella or the suspect in this case has been asked to call the West Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000 and reference case No. WJ22-24567.
