WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley City was briefly evacuated Friday night due to severe weather.

Event goers were told to exit the venue and seek shelter in their vehicles until further notice, according to a Facebook post from the outdoor location.

“Safety is our #1 priority at USANA Amphitheatre,” the post stated.

A second post was made 28 minutes later at 8:14 p.m. saying the doors were open again.

The Chicks, with special guest Patty Griffin, were scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, but were delayed due to the weather. According to USANA’s second post, the show is continuing on.
