SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – More people are becoming eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, but you’ll need to schedule an appointment to get one.

Residents should not arrive at vaccine clinics without an appointment, officials say.

According to the Utah Department of Health, local health departments are experiencing a high volume of calls and web traffic, and it may take several attempts to secure an appointment. Each department also gets a limited number of doses per week, so some residents may have to continue checking back with their local health departments.

UDOH states that everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one eventually.
