LIVE UPDATES: Snow Causing Morning Commute Issues

9:45 a.m.
Multiple crashes have been reported along the Wasatch Front.
In Utah County, there’s a crash on southbound I-15 approximately 1 mile north of Santaquin, a crash on northbound I-15 approximately 1 mile south of Payson, and a crash on southbound I-15 approximately 2 miles north of Santaquin.
In Salt Lake County, a crash on northbound I-15 at 7100 South in Mdivale has the right lane closed, a crash on eastbound I-215 at Redwood Road in Taylorsville has the right shoulder closed, a crash on southbound I-15 at 5600 South in Murray has the right lane blocked, a crash on northbound I-15 at 10600 South in Sandy has the right shoulder closed, a crash on southbound I-15 at the 10600 South onramp in South Jordan has the left lane blocked, and a crash on westbound I-215 at 300 West in Murray has the right shoulder closed.
A crash has also been reported on eastbound SR 39 at mile post 11 in Ogden Canyon.
9 a.m.
A crash on southbound I-15 at 9000 South in Sandy has the left shoulder closed.

8:45 a.m.
UDOT has reported a crash at 11400 South at 1200 West in South Jordan.
Snow is continuing to fall in various places along the Wasatch Front, creating slick conditions on roads.

8 a.m.
Multiple crashes have been reported in Weber and Morgan counties.
UDOT has reported a crash on westbound I-84 approximately one mile north of Morgan, and a crash on eastbound I-84 at mile post 110, which is approximately four miles east of Morgan.

In Ogden, a crash on northbound Washington Boulevard at 1700 South has the right shoulder closed. There’s also a crash on Harrison Boulevard at 1700 South.
On I-15, a crash at the 1600 North offramp in Orem has the left lane blocked.
7:45 a.m.
I-15 has seen a couple of crashes over the past half hour. In Utah County, a crash on northbound I-15 at University Avenue in Provo has the left shoulder closed. In Davis County, a crash on northbound I-15 at Hill Field Road in Layton has the left shoulder closed.

Also in Davis County, a crash on the southbound US 89 ramp to southbound I-15 in Farmington has the left lane blocked. A crash at northbound 2000 West at SR 193 in Syracuse has the right turn lane blocked.
7:15 a.m.
A crash on US 89 at Main Street in Farmington has the right lane blocked, according to UDOT.
The snow continues to be heavy in Parley’s Canyon, although plows have been able to get the roads relatively clear.

7 a.m.
Road restrictions are now in place for both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Chains or 4X4 are required on SR 210 at the mouth of Little Cottonwood and SR 190 through Big Cottonwood.
6:45 a.m.
UDOT is reporting a crash on 21st Street at 300 West in Ogden that has both eastbound and westbound lanes closed. In Wasatch County, a crash on eastbound US 189 at Deer Creek Reservoir has the left lane blocked.
6:30 a.m.
A crash on the eastbound SR 201 ramp to eastbound I-80 in Salt Lake City has a left lane blocked. In Uintah County, there’s also a crash about 2 miles west of Vernal on US 40.

6 a.m.
UDOT is reporting a crash on westbound Parrish Lane at I-15 in Centerville. The right lane is closed.
In Wasatch County, snow continues to accumulate. Weather specialist Grant Weyman tweeted a photo of the Kimball Junction area in Park City, where the roads were completely covered.

5:45 a.m.
Road restrictions are in place for US 91 and US 92 through Sardine Canyon, according to UDOT. Chains or 4X4 are required. The restriction is in place until 5 p.m.

5:30 a.m.
UDOT is reporting additional crashes. The left lane on northbound I-15 at mile post 334 in Clearfield is closed. On US 189 in Deer Creek in Wasatch County, a crashes have the right lane closed at mile post 17 on the eastbound side and the right shoulder closed on the westbound side.
Plows are out on I-80 through Parley’s Canyon as snow continues to accumulate. Remember to give the plows plenty of room to work, and never pass them!

5:15 a.m.
The morning kicked off with a handful of crashes in Davis and Weber counties.
According to UDOT, cars crashed in both directions along I-15 in Kaysville, Roy, Ogden, Layton, Clearfield and South Weber in the span of one hour. The crashes have lanes closed in multiple locations, so drivers are asked to give themselves extra time to account for closures and slick roads.

KSL TV meteorologist Grant Weyman said the snow will continue through the morning and will begin to taper off at about noon. However, the cold will continue.
