No New COVID Deaths Reported Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Health officials reported 344 Utahns have tested positive for COVID-19.

No new deaths were reported.

The state administered 14,350 more vaccines.

There are currently 129 people hospitalized with the virus.

Testing

The Utah Department of Health reports 2,411,082 people have been tested so far, which is 5,216 more than yesterday.

Of those, 387,341 have tested positive for COVID-19. That’s an increase of 344 new positive cases over yesterday’s numbers.

The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 400 per day.

The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 7.0%. The rolling 7-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.4%.

Hospitalizations

Currently, 129 people are hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 45 of those people are in intensive care units.

The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 400 per day.

Deaths

To date, the virus has killed 2,132 Utahns. No new deaths were reported Sunday.

Vaccinations

Utah has administered 1,495,713 vaccines, which is an increase of 14,350 from Saturday’s data.

So far, 974,700 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 564,824 have been fully immunized.

There have been 1,734,950 vaccines delivered to the state.
