SALT LAKE CITY — As people around the world look to ease the change and loss that occurred in 2020, there is a growing call to Unite. That’s the title of a new book by nationally known author and activist Tim Shriver.
The last year has left grief, anxiety and concern for our country’s future.
Tim Shriver has a new book that compiles the thoughts of well-known leaders, celebrities and artists.
“I hope the book is a companion for the people who are trying to do the work to end the hatred and the demonization of our culture, and I hope that’s most of us,” said Shriver.

Recognized actors and activists, scholars, spiritual and political leaders offered messages on how to heal.
Pastor and producer TD Jakes stated, “pain always leaves a gift.”
His Holiness the Dalai Lama prayed we would “heed the call to unite to meet the magnitude of the challenges we face.”
Oprah said, “our job during this time out is to make ourselves into something better.”
And from actress Jennifer Garner, “small gestures matter.”
“These are authentic voices of people speaking from the heart, not a script,” said Shriver.
The goal for the book, Shriver said, is to help us bridge the divide in our own lives and see the values we share in common.
“I hope people take from this book, there is always an opening,” he said.
