30-Year-Old Man Killed In Shooting At Taylorsville Apartment Complex

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A 30-year-old man has died following a shooting at an apartment complex in Taylorsville, police said.
The incident happened at the Atherton Park Apartments, located at 4545 S. Atherton Drive, around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Det. Ken Hansen with the Unified Police Department said the armed confrontation took place between two groups of people in the parking lot of the complex.
During the exchange, a 30-year-old man, identified as Joey Duran, was shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials said Unified Police detectives and a forensic unit investigated at the scene.
Sofia Penrod, 21, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Saturday morning on charges of murder and obstruction of justice, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
