SALT LAKE CITY— With a snow squall and multiple road closures, Utah drivers have dealt with a lot of interference over the last 24 hours. The Utah Highway Patrol announced troopers handled over 200 crashes in 16 hours and helped an additional 352 motorists that were stuck or slid off the road across the state.
Interstate 15 was closed in both directions Monday for multiple hours for some emergency maintenance after a light pole had fallen over the previous day.
Then storm advisories were issued for several areas from Davis County to Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas for a snow squall and hundreds of cars crashed around the state.
Late Monday night, a greyhound bus carrying 37 people crashed off of I-70, injuring 20 people.
Tuesday morning, northbound I-15 was closed in Nephi due to multiple crashes and icy road conditions.
UHP said to expect icy conditions for the next few days and reminds drivers to slow down.
