ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow Daybell will be on trial for murder together after a judge denied a request to separate the cases.
According to the East Idaho News, District Judge Steven Boyce denied the motion of John Prior, Chad Daybell’s attorney, to separate the trials.
Chad and Lori face the death penalty in the murders of Vallow’s children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow along with Tammy Daybell, Chad’s first wife, whose death has been connected to the case.
Boyce stated having the trials together would be efficient, economic and avoid possible inconsistent verdicts.
He said the trial will proceed as scheduled in Ada County on Jan. 9, 2023.
