Packers S Zayne Anderson Pulls In First Career Interception

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Former BYU defensive back Zayne Anderson read the quarterback like a book for his first career interception on Monday Night.
Anderson was already having a great game but then added to his performance with the third-quarter pick.

Through the first three quarters, Anderson recorded three total tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup.
Then, late in the quarter, Anderson came all the way from the flat to pick off a throw to the streaking receiver.
It took 29 games but Anderson finally broke through to force the first turnover of his career in year three.

In 14 games played this season, Anderson has posted 10 total tackles (two solo).
Another former Cougar, RB Chris Brooks, also had a career milestone against the Saints ashe ran in the first touchdown of his career.
About Zayne Anderson
The newest Bill was originally a three-star recruit in the class of 2015 out of Stansbury Park, Utah.
Anderson played in 50 games during his BYU career, recording 162 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups.
In 2017, Anderson switched from safety to linebacker and remained there till week two of the 2019 season. During an upset win over No. 6 Wisconsin in 2018, Anderson had 11 tackles. Two weeks later, he suffered a season-ending injury.

In 2019, Anderson battled a shoulder injury limiting him to only two games played.
Heading into his senior year in 2020, Anderson dabbled at cornerback during spring practices, before returning to his natural position at safety.
Anderson played in 11 games in 2020, recording 41 tackles.
