EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah — A Utah family is all accounted for Monday night after their home caught fire in the City Center division of Eagle Mountain.
Firefighters were called out to the home on Trail Rider Peak Drive at approximately 8:13 p.m.
Kelly Bird, public information officer for the Unified Fire Authority, said the family was outside when an explosion took place in the garage.
When firefighters arrived on scene, the structure was heavily involved.
“They did have to go to a defensive attack because the fire was very heavily involved, and I don’t they got it knocked down until probably 35/40 minutes later,” Bird said.
Nobody was injured, but the home is suspected to be a total loss.
Bird said crews were able to protect the adjacent structures.
